I really love this spot. I've never had a bad meal. I absolutely love the pan au chocolate, and the cinnamon roll is absolutely to die for. My boyfriend usually gets something savory, and likes their sandwich with turkey, cream cheese and green chile. The workers are super friendly and helpful. They have a cute outdoor seating set up with French music playing. Just note that sometimes the line can go slowly, and it doesn't matter what time I get there, there is ALWAYS a long line it seems, but I don't find this to be anybody's fault or enough of a deterrent to stop me from going. It's just a signal that it's good and folks love it!

Don't judge a book by its cover is an understatement here. Amazing pastries and sandwiches. The drinks are amazing as well.

Great coffee & croque monsieur. Order at the window & outside seating in a charming little town. Don't forget a visit to the Copper museum across the street.

The four of us stopped for a quick lunch at Violette's on our way from Sedona to Jerome. What a tasty, wonderful experience. Shared a chicken salad croissant sandwich, which paired well with the Butterfly matcha latte. We all took home a pastry - all fantastic, especially my berry pastry and the pain au chocolat!

The pastry is always to die for!! Worth the trip from Sedona anyway. Try to get here at least once a month.

Wow! What a hidden gem!! So glad we found Violettes Bakery Cafe when we were on our way to the station for our train ride. This place doesn't look like much but we were so pleasantly surprised and impressed, even tho we only had enough time to get pastries. We went with the Pumpkin Pie Praline, Kouign Amman, and Strawberry Danish. All of the pastries were so perfectly buttery and flaky and delicious! It's hard to find a really good Kouign Amman but this one was lovely, not too sweet. I cannot wait to back specifically for this and try out a croissant sandwich or crepe (or both) too!

This is a cafe where you need to understand the details. If you are looking for a French breakfast experience and don't mind eating primarily sweets, hey it's a 5-star place. Cute as a button, lovely owner and staff, very French. All high quality. However, if you are looking for eggs, or a full breakfast, then I will refer you to the Red Rooster or Crema Cafe, in OldTown Cottonwood. I myself am rather unwilling to eat much sugar, so I would not try to eat a breakfast here again. Fabulous cappuccino, but remember this is European style, 5 oz, not some Starbucks Grande. There are a few savory items, but they mostly have ham or turkey, so those of us who don't eat meat will pass them by. But still, even if you're fine with a Croque monsieur or some such, note that there are no sides. No potatoes. So for those who believe "breakfast for kings,..." you will not find what you need here. I think they have adopted to American life a bit too much by being a bit heavy with the sugar shaker. My standard of reference is still Paris Baguette. Yes, I know they are a Korean chain, but heck, their outlets are the best even in Manhattan, NY, according to my tastes, when I was living there. Very sparing of pouring sugar on. We have one outlet in North Scottsdale here, which I prefer over Violette's, but of course you're not going to drive 2 hours to grab some baked goods. (Do not go to their Tempe outlet, though). A wider selection at Paris Baguette and very light with the sugar shaker. Be aware that, like most bakeries, if you show up late, you may not have much of a selection. Ms. Godina: If you are looking at this, please consider cutting back on sugar. Merci beaucoup! But I thank you very much for bringing such a unique establishment to Clarkdale.

I've had this bakery on my list for so long and I am super happy that I finally was able to check it out! First of all, the entire set up is adorable. All the baked goods are beautifully displayed and the ladies behind the counter are more than willing to help you. Our family was up in the Cottonwood area for the day and decided to try a bunch or items; from savory to dessert and I can honestly say that every was made with love-you can totally taste the love. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in the area!
